What am I facing in my divorce?

Depending on the particular situation of your case, you will have five basic issues to resolve in a divorce proceedings: child custody and visitation, child support, spousal support, and property division status (being legally restored to the status of single person).

Of course your case may differ and depending on the situation other aspects may need to be taken into account.

Do I need a lawyer?

The short answer is no. In California between 80-90% of family law cases are handled with at least one party representing themselves, but it is recommended that you always consult an attorney for any legal procedures.
